The history of our campsite

The campsite was founded by two passionate couples of friends. Initially, the campsite offered 115 pitches and an outdoor swimming pool, providing a welcoming environment for its first vacationers.

The campsite is expanding with 47 additional pitches, bringing its capacity to 162 pitches to meet growing demand.

A new major milestone was reached with a second expansion of 53 plots, reaching 215 locations. That same year, we invested in an indoor swimming pool, a multi-sports ground, and a new playground, confirming our commitment to families and leisure enthusiasts.

The campsite entrance is fully landscaped, bringing a touch of elegance and nature to welcome our vacationers in an even warmer setting.

Nadine and Franck took the reins of Bird Island alone. They injected new life into the site with a new visual identity, the creation of the Enchanted Nest, the friendly "Nest" relaxation area, and the redesign of the activity room. That year, the campsite also received the Tourism and Disability label, a testament to its accessibility.

A veranda was built to accommodate the kids' club activities. The campsite also obtained the Accueil Vélo label, allowing us to welcome visiting cyclists.

The campsite has been awarded the Qualité Tourisme label and is opening a new outdoor aquatic area with a unique and innovative design. With the addition of 11 new plots, the campsite's capacity now stands at 226.

We are innovating again with the creation of 3 plots dedicated to motorhomes and the installation of 6 private toilets to guarantee comfort and privacy on 12 bare pitches (tent and caravan).

Nadine and Franck continue their work of beautification and renovation to provide an ever more welcoming environment. In 2024, two new restrooms will be installed on the pitches.

New website, new communication, and a range of better-equipped mobile homes, marking a new stage in the history of our campsite.
